With the continuous improvement and maturity of automation and technology, AGV cars are widely used in e-commerce warehousing, manufacturing and wharf because of their high efficient cargo handling and "goods to man" sorting. Then, in practical applications, how are the charging methods commonly used by AGV cars classified and differentiated?


All the energy consumption of the AGV car during operation is provided by the vehicle battery pack. When the battery is running, the voltage of the battery pack will gradually decrease, and the energy stored by the battery will gradually decrease. Therefore, it is necessary to supplement the electric energy during the cycle operation.

At present, there are five ways of charging AGV, and there are 2 kinds of battery mainstream.
1. Automatic charging at the charging station
For work in one shift, AGV usually works 8-10 hours after charging to the charging station, which is full after 4-6 hours. Then wait in the AGV preparation area, which usually works for 10-12 hours.

2. Artificial battery replacement
For the needs of continuous work from two to three, AGV will replace batteries by manual assistance at the charging station after class one. This process is about 3 minutes, and then goes to work. This method requires one spare, one AGV two batteries; this method is equipped with a special battery replacement car, convenient for manual replacement.



There are two kinds of battery charging, which are lead-acid batteries and lithium batteries. According to the needs of users, a charging scheme is proposed to help customers choose charging mode, battery, charging current and voltage, battery capacity, charging points on the site of AGV operation, or mechanical replacement of battery stations. We calculate the number of shifts, the working time of each shift and the no-load rate, and solve the charging solution of customers from the actual situation.
